Monster Fun on Threadless!

7 x Monsters + Threadless = Awesome Sauce!
Excited to report that 7 of my designs are up on Threadless for voting. Being a huge fan of all things MONSTERS I decided to submit a bunch of monster art. The wonderful folks over at Threadless selected a butt-load and they are all up now for voting. Time is short so please go on over, log in (it’s super easy) and throw some love my way. Feel free to share the link, reblog this, tweet and retweet, etc…
Aw heck, I’m thinking about carrier pigeon and smoke signals right about now.
You can click here to vote and a big Thanks goes out to everyone that voted already.
Above: A little slideshow of the 7 designs that were selected.

Artist Trading Cards this Saturday!

Artist Trading Cards + Nichols Berg Gallery = Monster Fun!
I’ll be hosting an Artist Trading Card (ATC) session in Chestnut Hill this Saturday at the Nichols Berg Gallery. I have invited a bunch of my friends from the Philadelphia Cartoonist Society so it is bound to be a fun-filled and super creative afternoon. If you need more info on “What the heck is Artist Trading Cards?” you can find it here and here.
It’s an All Ages, Free Event , grab a friend and come on out. ATC sessions are a great way to meet fellow creatives, trade techniques and swap artwork!

The Blabbing Baboon.

Some of the newer members to the PCS have yet to meet long-time member Rich Marcej. Rich's cartooning work has been featured on everything from toys, candy and greeting cards. Rich has worked at both Hallmark and Hasbro creating artwork for such classic properties as Transformers, Inhumanoids and Battle Beasts. Currently Rich divides his time between his day job at KNex and his daily comic The Blabbing Baboon.
I thought I would post a recent daily comic of his that featured a PCS get together a little while back. For the record Jeff's apartment isn't that small (it's cozy) and not everyone was drunk. If you really want to get to know Mr. Marcej check out his daily comic exploits here.

Back to the Future Flux Capacitor Cartoon Print

A while ago I was commissioned to create a hand drawn Back to the Future piece. It is one of my favorite pieces that I've ever done. I'm always a little tentative & intimidated by coloring things by hand, probably because I've become so reliant on the magical computer machine. However, I was extremely proud of the colors for this one piece but I always thought I could do it better. So I did (at least i think so). What do you guys think?

PCS Art Crawl Update

Hey Everyone!

Just wanted to let you all know an update on the PCS Art Crawl happening this Friday. On May 7th the Philadelphia Cartoonist Society will be hosting three different art openings, that's right I said THREE ART EVENTS!

1. The “Domo Arrigato” robot art show is hanging at Brave New Worlds Comic Shop in Olde City.
2. “Deck Heads” is a skate board art show hosted annually by Exit Skate Shop in Northern Liberties.
3. “Dirt Balls in Love” is the solo show of the one and only Jeffro Kilpatrick on exhibit at Proximity Gallery in Fishtown.

This is sure to be a good time with some really great art, so come on out for laughs and refreshments along the way.
In our efforts to find new ways to promote our shows I have attached the flyer for the PCS Art Crawl as well as some photos of a Robot Sticker Campaign some of us took part in. Also, this past Saturday was Free Comic Book Day. Many of us were on hand at Brave New Worlds drawing robots for folks out to pick up some free comics. It was a lot of fun and we made some new friends including Zombie Hulk!

I have attached these pics for all those with a finger in the Blog-o-sphere to start posting in support of the shows.
Hope to see you all out this Friday!

From Patch and Concetta :)
