Tony Auth Awarded HDFA at UArts Commencement

On May 17, PCS member Christian “Patch” Patchell had the honor of introducing legendary Philadelphia editorial cartoonist Tony Auth at the University of the Arts 134th Commencement Ceremony. Auth was presented with an Honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts from the University.

Patch's introduction is located just around the 76 minute mark: CLICK HERE TO SEE THE VIDEO ONLINE.

If you let the video run after that, you can also hear Neil Gaiman’s commencement address to the class of 2012. Gaiman was also presented with an HDFA from UArts.

  1. Thank you patch... (and jeff for posting/attending! I saw you, but you didn't see me,)

I am proud to say that Patch, who I have known for about 5 years now,) spoke at my Master's Graduation from UARTS! Your speech was funny, nostalgic, and educational (as always.) I really enjoyed it and my family had a blast. What a great graduation!
