Un-Nerving Pencil!

I have done many small cartoons/illustrations for print before, but never have I been given  a full two page spread to illustrate, until recently. This story, written by Jess Bergman, tells the tale of Harriet Cole. Harriet was a maid/washwoman in the late 1800's who donated her body to science. Dr. Rufus Weaver was, using her donated corpse, able to accurately separate her nervous system from the rest of her, for the first time ever. Back then it was a scientific miracle. These days, it is still on display, but is mostly seen as a creepy thing in a case.

A small portion of the comic was separated (much like her nervous system...ehhh folks?)  for the cover.

A Drizzle of Pizzle.

YES! Its a tongue having a romantic drink with the chef who shall roast it and chop it to pieces. A murderous dinner setting, to the tone of "Lady and the Tramp". I have heard that this one caused a few hands to wring, over uneasy mumbles and "herm"s "errr"s and "hawww"s...which bring me pride. To romance!

Visit the pebble beach of bathroom walls for more works.

From the Wierdness

With irrationally changing weather, everyone has fallen ill. Thus I present these pieces to you, peering through the fog of medication and the hedges of my tissues. Strange times ahead...probably. 5errific luck to all. Goodnight.

As always, more to come...soon.

Burnt red fingertips.

For a while now I have been trying to compile (finish) all these weird portraits i have been doing since forever into one thing. So here is a small single piece of what has been taking up much of my free time (besides sleeping and building cardboard Conan swords).

WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?!

Here's a quick drawing exercise I made for myself: take a few recognizable characters and turn 'em into regular (or at least semi-regular) folks. So, I introduce you to Bob "Hunter" Fetterman, Stew Tropiano, and Dario Vadera.

Its Boba Fett, a Stormtrooper, and Darth Vader btdubs. Soon to come...droids.

Check out more of my crap here.

Hows it goin?

HELLO! Im Evan. I do pictures too. This is my first post on The PCS blog. Nice to meet you all. You might have seen some of my crap on the Autumn Society blog, maybe not, no big. Im glad to be here now too. I do pictures. Moving on.

This was a thing I did for last weeks Philly Citypaper. It was their annual writing contest, and I illustrated a little somethin(s) for the winning story (which was about a teaspoon who ((spoiler)) eventually got surgery and became a bubble wand). I would say check it out, but either a) You already have, or B) You cant because its already Thursday and a new paper is in the boxes...in which case Im sorry.

This is the original, before all the window dressing went on.

This little inside piece depicted a key moment in the story, when the teaspoon is about to go down some stairs or something.

Nice talking to all y'all. Come see more of my crap here
